Senior Pastor, Bethany Community Church
Daniel Bennett, is the senior pastor of Bethany Community Church in Washington, Illinois. It was while serving as an associate pastor that he became aware of the need to equip the local church to care for the fatherless with a God-centered focus. He and his wife, Whitney, have four children. Daniel received his Master of Divinity from Moody Theological Seminary and his Doctorate of Ministry from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. His book, A Passion for the Fatherless, is designed to help believers develop a God-centered ministry to orphans.

Pastor of Discipleship and Counseling, Bethany Community Church
Kent has been in the ministry of biblical counseling since 1999. He oversees the adult Sunday School ministry and is director of Bethany’s biblical counseling ministry. He is certified through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors. Kent and his wife Janell have been married 37 years. They have 2 married daughters Gwen (married to Tim) Drayer, and Gina (married to Andy), a son Warren, and 7 grandchildren.
In addition to his role at Bethany Community, Kent enjoys date nights with his wife, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and if time allows, anything outdoors, like shooting, hiking, building things, and especially anything involving water (like fishing, boating, skiing, swimming).

Traever Guingrich has been a part of Bethany Baptist Church since 2009. He has been married to Andrea since 2004 and has four kids: Adalai, Remy, Thatcher, and Baye. He is a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Machine Systems Engineering. He worked as an engineer for Caterpillar for ten years and before getting a Masters of Divinity at Westminster Seminary California in Escondido, California. There he was also a part of The Institute of Reformed Baptist Studies. He graduated in May 2016. In his free time Traever enjoys risking his life, long walks on the beach, baseball, and cowboy music. Traever especially enjoys the study of systematic theology, church history, apologetics, and textual criticism.
Dr. Ritch Boerckel
Senior Pastor, Bethany Baptist Church
Ritch Boerckel has been ministering at Bethany as the senior pastor since 1993. His previous training includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pastoral Training from Moody Bible Institute, a Masters of Theology degree in Bible Exposition from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate of Ministry from Covenant Seminary in St. Louis. Pastor Ritch and his wife Kimberly have three children named Alexander, Daniel, and Jackson. In addition to pastoral work, Pastor Ritch enjoys tennis, basketball, golf, and spending time with his family.

Senior Pastor, Living Hope Community Church
Art Georges is the senior pastor of Living Hope Community Church in Bartonville, Illinois. Art received his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Illinois in 1986. Following completion of his undergraduate degree, he worked as an actuary in the insurance industry. In 2002, Art completed his Master of Divinity from The Master’s Seminary in Sun Valley, California. Upon completing seminary, Art joined the staff of Bethany Baptist Church (BBC) and led a group from BBC in planting Living Hope Community Church, where he has pastored since its inception.

Pastoral Associate, Bethany Baptist Church
Jerry Sanderson has been pastoral associate at Bethany Baptist Church since January of 2007. He is originally from St. Louis, Mo. moving to Peoria in 2000. Before serving on staff he worked for the Rainbow Resource Center, a home-school book company. While in St. Louis he worked as a Director in Information Systems at Continental Baking and then Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Jerry has a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science from Missouri University of Science and Technology and has studied at Moody Theological Seminary.
He has been married to Karen since June 28, 1986, and they have three children: Zachary and Jordan who are both grown and Tori is at home and goes to Dunlap Grade School.
Elder / Teaching Pastor, Fellowship Bible Church
Jason was born in New Orleans, LA and raised in West Central Florida. At the age of 16, Jason repented of his sins and trusted in Christ's death and resurrection alone to be reconciled to God. After graduating from Bible college in 1997 and marrying his dear wife Amber, he has spent the subsequent years in full time ministry as a youth pastor, an associate pastor and is currently the teaching pastor of Fellowship Bible Church in Peoria, IL. Jason holds degrees from the Moody Bible Institute and Calvary Theological Seminary and is also an associate member of the Evangelical Theological Society. Jason and Amber have three children, Jonah, Karis and Aubrey. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading and (when his back cooperates) running.
Pastor, Calvary Baptist Bible Church
While Garry is proud of being from Texas, he still counts himself blessed having lived the last few decades in the Midwest. He and his wife, Joy, are raising four kids who range from college age to elementary. They are also accompanied by a continually changing menagerie gathered by the children. Garry graduated from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary.
Dave Robinson is an elder and adult Sunday school teacher at Bethany Community Church in Washington, IL. He grew up in the Peoria area and attended Taylor University and the University of Kansas before settling back in central Illinois. He and his wife, Beth, have two children: Anna and Luke. Dave works for Precision Planting in Tremont, IL managing technical publications and communication.
JJ Miller is the husband of Laura and the father of Melissa and Julie. A graduate of Bradley University in 1983 with studies in Biology and Philosophy and a teaching certificate in Elementary Education, JJ attended Dallas Theological Seminary and graduated with Master’s degrees in Christian Education and Biblical Studies with a focus on Old Testament and Theology. Since graduating, he has taught nearly 20 years at the college level, in addition to elementary and secondary teaching. At the college level, JJ has taught Study Skills, Computer Applications, Philosophy, Ethics, World Religions, the Bible as Literature, Professional Development in Business, English Rhetoric, Speech, and Graphic Design. At the pre-college level, he has taught Biology, Algebra, Health, Microsoft Office, Desktop Videography, and has enjoyed Speech Team coaching. He enjoys learning the Bible and spending time with his granddaughters doing activities like archery together.
